Design Intent
Inspired by the famous children’s drawing showing the Pierrot clown sitting on the moon, Martin Hablesreiter and Hicham Ben Moussa created a chair that gives the user the impression of sitting on the crescent of the moon.

Process
While the outer shell of the chair follows the form of a semicircle, numerous test series allowed the adaptation of the curves of the inner shell to the shape of the human body. Hubert Hablesreiter developed a specific manufacturing – method using epoxy glue for the production of the curved surfaces in cherry wood.
