Brief
The site is located in the most up-market residential area of the city offering
a magnificent view of the city owing to the elevated land.
The site has several rock formations and trees which the client wanted to retain and merge them with the apartment blocks that were to be designed.

Design Intent
The design intends to establish a strong dialogue with the dynamic landscape by allowing views of the open spaces and the valley from all the levels of the built form.
The buildings are seen as vertical extrusions of the landscape rather than mere insertions.

Process
The contours, rocks and trees became the design generators.
We wanted to create an experience of a home with a garden for each apartment. The central core was assigned to the primary activities with a view of the valley on the South and the bedrooms were located on either side of the central core.
The planning of the apartments made a conscious attempt to offer views of the city from the bedrooms and other areas.
