The organizers of the expo wanted us to design the entrance with a theme
that supports the principles of Organic Farming.

Design Intent
We came up with the idea of a skin that spans 350 feet and is 10 feet
in height at the entrance to the expo.
The skin should amaze and excite the visitors to the event. Discarded compact discs were used to exhibit that discarded material could be put to use without having to pollute the environment.

Process
Pixel logic was the main design parameter.
Light getting reflected on the compact discs would create a colorful façade of shimmering spots that change in color depending on the angle you view them.
We therefore arranged the discs in a regular grid on a stretchable fabric
supported by steel scaffolding.
